Kim Kline-11 years experience

My name is Kim Kline, and this is my second year to be a part of this amazing J.L. Mudd Elementary family and the second grade team!  I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Concentration.  I received my Master’s Degree from there as well in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading.  This will be my 12th year teaching.  I have been an instructional coach as well as teaching 5th and 6th grade Communication Arts, 3rd grade, 1st grade, and Kindergarten.  I am from Cape Girardeau and have lived in St. Louis for the past 5 years.  My husband Chris and I have been married since the Spring of 2016 and we have a little Westie named Cooper who is our world.  In my free time you can generally find me snuggling with Cooper, reading a book, visiting with family, or outside somewhere.  I am so anxious to learn, grow, and make some more great memories this year with our staff, children, and families!

Maranda Lampe- 1 year experience

My name is Maranda Lampe, and this is my second year teaching at J.L. Mudd! I graduated from Lindenwood University in 2015 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. It is a dream come true to be a classroom teacher! I love watching my students grow and overcome challenges in a short amount of time. My classroom is always full of energy, laughter, and building friendships. When I am not at school, I spend my time at Cheer St. Louis where I coach competitive cheerleading. Other hobbies are working out, cooking, and playing with my fur baby, Riley. I am looking forward to having another spectacular year in 2nd grade at J.L. Mudd!

Mandy Palmer-Currier- 6 years experience

I absolutely love being a part of the J.L. Mudd Community! This will be my sixth year teaching second grade at J.L. Mudd, and I truly consider it to be my dream job! I graduated in 2011 from the University of Missouri – St. Louis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be a teacher to young children. It has always been my biggest passion. These early years of learning are so important in not only teaching them the academics to become flourishing, lifelong learners, but also teaching them the leadership skills they will use for a lifetime to become successful adults. I grew up in Wildwood, but currently live in Winghaven. I have a 3 year old son named J.R. who truly is my greatest gift in life. In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing anything outdoors, and snuggling up to J.R. and our kitten, Fancy! I am looking forward to another amazing year at J.L. Mudd!

Lora Stewart—2 Year Experience

Hello new friends! My name is Mrs. Stewart. I will be starting my third year of teaching here at J. L. Mudd, and I have absolutely loved every second of it. I graduated from Hannibal-La Grange University in 2014 with a Degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Elementary Education. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I am so blessed to get to teach. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two sisters. We love outdoor adventures and baseball! I look forward to seeing you in our building! Welcome to J. L. Mudd Elementary School!

Nikki Stockdell- 3 years experience
This is my fourth year as a classroom teacher at J.L. Mudd.  It will be my second year as a second grade teacher. Previously, I taught first grade for two years.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from University of Missouri-St Louis, and I am certified to teach both Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.  I am currently working on earning my Master’s Degree and certification to teach English Language Learners at Lindenwood University.  I feel incredibly blessed to be able to live out my lifelong dream of being a classroom teacher!  I love having the opportunity to watch each of my students learn and grow every year.  When I'm not busy at school, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, our children, Noah and Tenley, and our lovable dog, Miles.  I’m excited to start a new year with my students and families!
Stacey Vaught – 7 years experience

This will be my eighth year teaching at J.L. Mudd Elementary. My first six years were spent teaching the finest first graders in O’Fallon. This year will be my second year taking on the most spectacular second graders in all the land.  Teaching and working with students is a career that fulfills me each and every day. I am truly blessed to be a part of the J.L. Mudd family. One of my favorite things about teaching is that I not only get to teach, but I also get to learn new things and grow every day right alongside my students. Each day is a brand new experience and every day is filled with hard work, fun, music, dance, and laughter. In my spare time, I enjoy attending sporting events, concerts, reading good books, and vacationing with family and friends. I’m looking forward to another wonderful year at J.L. Mudd!

Kelly Zeier—18 years experience

My name is Kelly Zeier, and I have taught at J.L. Mudd Elementary since I began my teaching career seventeen years ago. During my first two years, I taught second grade special education. The remaining years I have been in second grade. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Southeast Missouri State University and my Master’s Degree in Education from Lindenwood University. In my free time I read, run, swim, and bike ride. I have ran in 40 marathons and competed in several triathlons and hundred mile bike races. I am married and have and have two boys. Harrison is 11, and Oliver, is eight. I enjoy challenging myself; it brings me confidence and satisfaction to set a goal and to achieve it. I want to instill this in my students. I love watching students’ excitement when they conquer a particularly difficult concept. Through teaching I get to be the coach, and this is why I love teaching.
