What a busy week at JL Mudd! Our Read-A-Thon fundraiser raised just over $5,000! We have had some special events this week to celebrate.
Do you know someone turning 5 years old on or before July 31? It's time to get ready for Kindergarten registration! Fort Zumwalt will welcome the members of the Class of 2036 and their families in person at 14 elementary schools from 2 - 7 p.m., March 1. Information and paperwork will also be available online at go.FZSD.us/Kindergarten

Mrs. Salvo, our school counselor, is always ready and willing to help students and families with anything they need.
We also are excited to introduce our newest addition to the team, Mrs. Rockey! Mrs. Rockey has quickly jumped right in lending a hand in many different ways. Thank you ladies for all that you do every single day!

Committee work on the Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP), began last month as a part of the sixth, and most recent, Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP 6). The steering committee has been gathering data and conducting surveys to help define the focus of its work as Fort Zumwalt creates its guiding document for the next three years.
At the meeting tonight, participants will hear from the committee about its work so far and have the opportunity to ask questions about the CSIP process and the district’s goals.

Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 will be a traditional SNOW DAY in Fort Zumwalt School District. All students, teachers and staff (other than 12-month employees) will be off Wednesday, Jan. 25, due to inclement weather. Just a reminder, this means the day will have to be made up at the end of the school year. Again, Jan. 25 will be a traditional snow day in Fort Zumwalt School District.

The state Office of Special Education is asking for input from parents, teachers, and other professionals and stakeholder groups that work with special needs students. Today we welcomed our League of Leaders from North High! Our Panther Cubs had a blast meeting with these students and learning even more about the 7 Habits. Students will be getting their trading cards this week and will collect all by the end of the year.
